We collect the following information when you use KisanYantra: • Phone number (required for account creation and OTP verification) • Name, email address, village, district, and state (for your profile) • GPS location (to find nearby equipment and navigate to your farm) • Device information and push notification tokens (for ride alerts) • Ride history and usage data (to improve our service) For equipment operators (drivers), we additionally collect: • Equipment details and photos • Vehicle registration and identity documents (for verification only) • Bank account information (for future payment processing)
We use your information to: • Connect farmers with nearby equipment operators • Send real-time notifications about ride status • Verify equipment operators and maintain platform safety • Improve our services and fix technical issues • Communicate important updates about your account • Comply with applicable laws and regulations We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
KisanYantra requires access to your device's location to: • Show you nearby available equipment operators • Guide operators to your farm location • Calculate accurate fare estimates based on distance Location data is only accessed while the app is in use. Equipment operators' locations are shared with farmers only during an active booking to enable tracking.
We share limited data with: • Equipment operators: Your name, farm location, and contact details — only for an active ride you accepted • Farmers: The operator's name, phone number, and vehicle details — only after acceptance • SMS service providers: Your phone number, to send OTP verification messages • Cloud hosting providers: Encrypted data for app functionality (Railway, Cloudinary) We never share your data for advertising purposes.
We protect your data through: • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) • JWT-based authentication for all API requests • Secure database hosting with regular backups • Access controls limiting who can view your data No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account: • Your personal profile is permanently deleted within 30 days • Ride history records are anonymized and retained for analytics • You may request a copy of your data before deletion To delete your account, go to Profile → Delete My Account in the app, or email support@kisanyantra.in.
KisanYantra is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us their information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
